Peppers Construction of Georgia approached me about creating a new website to showcase their commercial and residential construction work. They had an older existing website that only showcased the residential construction side of their business. Peppers Construction was getting more and more inquiries about commercial construction work and needed a website that showcased the commercial side of their business as well as the residential side so potential clients would see them as a serious business in both the commercial and residential construction space.
The owner wanted a clean distraction-free design that emphasized their work and didn’t want the text distracting from the photography. I used photo galleries throughout the website to showcase the client’s work and used accordions to avoid walls of text on the web pages while still allowing the website visitor the option of displaying important information of their choosing.
Peppers Construction provided professional photography of their construction work and their team members. I can’t stress enough how photography can either make or break a website and that you should seriously consider including the cost in your overall website budget.
Keeping with the distraction-free design, the home page was designed as a gateway into the website so website visitors could quickly choose between the commercial or residential side of the business. There are strategically placed buttons on the pages and links in the menu and in the footer section that the website visitor can use to navigate to important areas of the website such as the portfolio and business processes.
You can view the live website which will be maintained by the client’s staff or view the website as it was delivered.
